about

Ode to my Body to pierwszy utwór z mojego nadchodzącego wydawnictwa pt. Megumi, które składać się będzie z 4 części. Ode to my Body to kawałek o ciele kobiety, o stosunku do tegoż ciała, o relacji kobiety z jej ciałem - o NIEzdrowej relacji.
(Czyli to będzie w przybliżeniu jakieś 99,9 %, )

Ode to my Body is the first track off my coming album titled Megumi, which will consist of 4 pieces. Ode to my Body is a song about a woman’s body, her relation to that body, an unhealthy relation. For that harmful relation I dare to blame [mostly] the big almighty god and father, called Popculture. It’s him who constantly objectifies us women and reminds us that our bodies are not good enough. It’s my fault, it’s my very big fault that I can’t be like her, or rather it, a perfect woman’s body, an artificially created ideal. I want to dedicate this song to all the girls and women, who at any point in their lives felt worse, or not good enough because their bodies weren’t up to social or pop/cultural standards. (Probably around 99,9% of them).

lyrics

you are enough
to hate myself

you are enough
to hurt myself

you are enough
to disregard myself

you are enough
to disrespect myself

you are enough
to hate myself

you are enough
to feel like I am nothing

(they want you to feel like you're nothing)

Do I ever feel like I am not worthless...
I'm not worth less than her?

I'm not worth less than her

about

vittuma Pila, Poland

After being a member of several punk/post-rock bands, Vittuma felt that the only way she could fully express herself was to her own songs. She produces, writes and performs her songs all on her own. She creates music that feels intimate and self-aware, with it's ascetic electronic sound. Her shows are the same way – stripped of all unnecessary distractions and safety nets." ... more
